Embark on an extraordinary 11-day journey that blends adventure, culture, and camaraderie as you walk the final 100km of the legendary Camino de Santiago. This customized group experience, designed for up to 30 travelers, begins in the vibrant city of Porto, where historic charm meets the Douro River’s breathtaking landscapes. After an immersive introduction, the journey continues to Vigo, the starting point of the Portuguese Coastal Route, leading you through picturesque villages, lush vineyards, and historic towns.
Each day on the Camino offers a unique blend of scenic beauty and cultural encounters, culminating in the awe-inspiring arrival at Santiago de Compostela, where the magnificent cathedral welcomes pilgrims from around the world. The adventure doesn’t end there, returning to Porto, the group will indulge in the finest wines of the Douro Valley, cruise the river on a traditional Rabelo boat, and explore the city’s rich history, including a visit to the iconic Livraria Lello.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Porto
Welcome to Portugal! Upon arrival at Porto Airport, you’ll be greeted by local assistance and transferred privately to your hotel. Settle into your classic room at a 4-star hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure, perhaps take a stroll through the city or enjoy your first taste of Portuguese cuisine.

Day 2: Transfer to Vigo & Free Afternoon
After breakfast, travel north to the vibrant coastal city of Vigo. Once you arrive, the afternoon is yours to discover the local culture, enjoy fresh seafood, or unwind with a walk along the marina.

Day 3: Camino Stage – Vigo to Redondela
Distance: 16 km | Duration: 4–5 hours
Begin your journey on the Portuguese Coastal Route. This short but scenic stage features peaceful forest paths and sweeping views over the Ría de Vigo, leading to the charming town of Redondela.

Day 4: Camino Stage – Redondela to Pontevedra
Distance: 19 km | Duration: 4–5 hours
Today’s trail winds through wooded areas and rolling hills before descending into Pontevedra. Explore its inviting old town, full of character and life, with cozy squares like Praza da Ferrería and Praza da Leña.

Day 5: Camino Stage – Pontevedra to Caldas de Reis
Distance: 21 km | Duration: 5–6 hours
Follow the course of the Lérez River through verdant countryside and vineyard-dotted landscapes. You’ll finish in Caldas de Reis, a peaceful town known for its thermal springs and tranquil ambiance.

Day 6: Camino Stage – Caldas de Reis to Padrón
Distance: 17 km | Duration: 4–5 hours
Continue through the Galician countryside toward Padrón, a town renowned for its spicy peppers and historical connection to St. James. The route takes you past farmland, forests, and quiet villages.

Day 7: Camino Stage – Padrón to Milladoiro
Distance: 17 km | Duration: 4–5 hours
This mostly urban stretch passes through sites of historical interest, including Iria Flavia and the Church of A Escravitude. As you near Santiago, excitement begins to build.

Day 8: Camino Stage – Milladoiro to Santiago de Compostela
Distance: 8 km | Duration: 2–3 hours
Conclude your pilgrimage with a meaningful final walk into Santiago de Compostela. Enter the city via the iconic “O Franco” street and spend time discovering the cathedral and historic center, both rich with tradition and energy.

Day 9: Return to Porto & Guided City Tour
After breakfast, return to Porto and check in to your hotel. In the afternoon, join a guided group tour of the city, featuring a stop at the famed Lello Bookstore—an architectural gem beloved by literature fans.

Day 10: Douro Valley Excursion
Spend your final day immersed in the beauty of the Douro Valley. Enjoy a river cruise through the scenic landscape, tour a local winery, and sample Portugal’s iconic Port Wine in the region where it’s born.

Booking Information
The total price includes the following services:
- Hotel in Porto – 4-star hotel, Standard Room with breakfast.
- Private Transfer – Porto to Vigo.
- Accommodations during the Camino – A mix of hotels, guesthouses, and rural tourism lodgings, subject to availability at the time of booking.
- All accommodations will feature private rooms with en-suite bathrooms, personally inspected by our team to ensure quality.
- A confirmed hotel list will be provided upon booking.
- Meals during the Camino – 7 breakfasts and dinners (including one drink per person).
- Support Vehicle – Available throughout the stages
- English-Speaking Guide – Accompanies the itinerary
- Luggage Transfer during the Camino

- Return Transfer – Back to Porto.
- Porto Stay – 2 nights at a 4-star hotel, Standard Room with breakfast.

Total Price per Person: $3,950 (double occupancy) or $5,950 (single supplement)
Not included:
- Flights – we are happy to help you book your flights (if not utilizing points) or you’re welcome to book your own. Please plan to depart the USA on April 28th to arrive the morning of April 29th in Porto.
- Tourist Tax of EUR to be paid directly at the hotel

Payment Structure per Person:
- $1,350 at Booking (Deadline June 15, 2025)
- $1,300 by September 15, 2025
- $1,300 by January 15, 2026
- 91 or more days prior to the start date of the tour – 20% of the Tour Price
- 61-90 days prior to the start date of the tour – 30% of the Tour Price
- 31-60 days prior to the start date of the tour – 50% of the Tour Price
- 30 days or less prior to the start date of the tour – 100% of the Tour Price
- Cancellation/shortening / unused portion of the tour after the start of the tour (including date of commencement of the tour) – 100% of the Tour Price
The cancellation of or changes to international flights booked by the Steph Dale as part of your tour may be subject to different terms and conditions from those provided above and all such fees or charges will be borne fully by you.
We highly encourage you to purchase cancel anytime trip insurance to cover your investment. This will also provide additional medical coverage while on the trip and much more.
